Melanie Gray, Ventura, Cali., signed a letter of intent to play softball at Bethany College for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Gray is a pitcher, first baseman, and third baseman from Buena High School. There she earned 2006 Offensive Player of the Year and 2008 Defensive Player of the Year for her 1.52 ERA. Gray also earned first team All Channel League honors. In attending Foothill Technology School, she was a member of the Bio Science Academy. She has a 2.7 high school GPA.

Gray is the daughter of David and Shirley Gray. At Bethany she plans to study business.
