Jack Sadowy, Centennial, Colo., has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Bethany College for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Sadowy is a 6', 178 lb. guard from Arapahoe High School. There he was a two-year starter, being named captain and team MVP his senior year. Sadowy also earned first team all-Continental Conference honors, and 5A all-state honorable mention. In 2008 he broke the school records for three-pointers in a season (72).
During his senior year he averaged 16.8 ppg., 2.8 rpg., had 38 steals, and 59 assists. He shot 44 percent from the field, 80 percent from the line and 41 percent from behind the arc.
Head coach Clair Oleen said his program recruited Sadowy a year ago before he decided to attend a prep school in North Caroline. There, Oleen said Sadowy played with and against some of the best players in the country.
"Jack is a great shooter who plays hard all the time. He will fit well into the triangle offense and also is a very intelligent player," Oleen added.
Sadowy is the son of Stephen Sadowy and Elizabeth Francis. At Bethany he plans to study either business or sports marketing.
