For the second-straight year the Bethany softball team had the most softball players named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes. Eight players made the cut.
 
They were Bre Boling, Phoenix, Ariz.; Laura Christopher, Aurora, Colo.; Savannah Dejmal, Munden,Kan.; Emily Heronemus, Topeka, Kan.; Sarah Logan, Clay Center, Kan.; Samantha Reeves, Wray, Colo.; Angelisa Sexson, Wichita, Kan. and Emily Zimmerman, Fairbury, Neb.
Six of the eight were seniors who graduated May 24.
 
To earn scholar athlete status in the NAIA, students must be of junior or senior standing and have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA.
