Robbie Belveal, Colorado Springs, Colo., has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Bethany College for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Belveal is a 6', 170 lb. point guard from Cheyenne Mountain High School. There he averaged 12.8 ppg., and 3.6 rpg. He shot 40.9 percent from the field and 67 percent from the line. Belveal served as team captain and earned second team all-conference honors. At Cheyenne Mountain Belveal also played football earning first team all-conference honors.
Head Coach Clair Oleen said Belveal, whose dad is the head coach at Cheyenne Mountain, has a great understanding of the game of basketball.
Belveal is the son of Chad Belveal and Joanne Belveal. He has a 3.0 high school GPA. At Bethany he plans to study athletic training.
