Jordan Rawle, Decatur, Texas, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Bethany College for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Rawle is a 6'8", 255 lb. center from Decatur High School. There he was named defensive player of the year and earned second team all-district honors.
Head Bethany basketball coach, Clair Oleen, said Rawle brings a big body to the team. "We look forward to working with him as he further develops as a basketball player. We want to help him reach his full potential," Oleen said.
Rawle averaged 8.1ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.3 blocks. He shot 59.6 percent from the field.
Rawle is the son of Craig and Judy Rawle. At Bethany he plans to study engineering.
