04/11/07
Stephanie Doyle will be a Freshman at Bethany for the 2007-08 academic year. Stephanie will graduate from Concordia High School with academic honors. She has played softball and was captain of her high school varsity cheer squad. She has received outstanding athletic recognition in both sports. Stephanie was named NCKL Outstanding Outfielder, Cheerleading All Star, a member of Stuco, FBLA member, NHS member, F.O.R. member and a member of the softball team at Concordia High.

Coach Ana states, "Stephanie's natural athleticism make her great for the cheerleading program at Bethany College. Her ability to immediately apply skills and technique quickly make her easy to coach and teach. She is willing to try anything new which will serve her well at the college level. Her commitment, self motivation and willingness to work hard make her a great pick up for our growing program. Stephanie will be primarily a flyer but will also base as needed."

Stephanie is the daughter of Lisa & Bill Valcoure and Janette & Jeff  Doyle. Stephanie plans to major in Accounting.

Shel'Mundra Brown will  be a Freshman at Bethany for the 2007-08 academic year. Shel'Mundra graduated from Skyline High School with academic honors. She played volleyball her freshman year and participated on her high school's varsity Cheer Squad. Shel'Mundra has also been trained in tumbling by  well known coach in the cheerleading world Craig Calloway.
 
Coach Ana states, " Mundra's outgoing personality and cheer skills make her an excellent addition to the Bethany program. Her willingness to try anything new and versatility as a base and flyer make her very useful to our increasingly competitive program. Mundra fits right in with our team and adds lightheartedness to everyone she interacts with. Mundra will be a flyer and base."
 
Shel'Mundra is the daughter of Janet Brown. She plans to major in Criminal Justice.

Laura Rodriguez will be a Freshman at Bethany for the 2007-08 academic year. Laura graduated from South Houston High School with academic Honors. She played volleyball and basketball in addition to being cheerleading captain of her high school varsity cheer squad and cheered at all star gym Dynamic. Laura works for Cheer Power and she is a trio-grand national champion. Laura is also a merit scholar and was senior homecoming queen of South Houston High.
 
Coach Ana states, "Laura is an excellent addition to our college, team and community. She is extremely intelligent, hardworking, self-driven and self disciplined; all of which will serve her well throughout her cheerleading and college career at Bethany. She is willing to contribute 110% to anything she encounters and is truly a genuine person. Laura is experienced as a base but with much potential to fly often. Laura will fly and base as needed."
 
Laura is the daughter of Rosa Rodriguez. She plans to major in Theatre Communication.

Lauren Goff will be a Freshman at Bethany for the 2007-08 academic year. Lauren did competitive gymnastics and cheered for her high school cheer squad both for 4 years each. She also cheered at Victory Cheer & Dance All Star Gym.  She was a member of Senior Planning Board, Newpaper and Yearbook Editor.
 
Coach Ana states, "Lauren is an exciting recruit for our program. She is a dedicated student who has proven herself in many areas of her life (cheerleading, photography, academics, extracurricular activities). I am sure she will be leading contributor to our program as a base and tumbler."
 
 She is the daughter of TIm and Elizabeth Goff. She plans to major in Communication.

Amanda Yates will be a Freshman at Bethany for the 2007-08 academic year.  A native of Lindsborg, Amanda graduated from Smoky Valley High School. She has cheered throughout high school and was a captain her senior year. Amanda graduated with honors and was an active member of pep club. 
 
Coach Ana states, "Amanda is a good late season pick up. I am sure she will be able to grow in our program. She has experience and a desire to learn. Amanda will be a base and be a flyer as needed."
 
Amanda is the daughter of Melisa Chesbro and Gary Yates. She plans to major in Pre-Med.

Anthony Tackett will be a Freshman Transfer at Bethany for the 2007-08 academic year. Anthony is from Mounds, Ok. He attened Northeast Oklahoma State College A & M for a short time after he graduated from Sapulpa High School. At SHS,  Anthony was was a very involved individual. He was selected to the OK. All-State Football team and was involved in various organizations at his school all the while graduating with over a 3.0 GPA. Anthony also attended Cheer Dynamix in Tulsa, Ok.
 
Coach Ana states, "Anthony's experience from Cheer Dynamix and his overall natural athleticism make him worthy to our program. I am sure he will be our primary yell leader, primary partner stunter and a tumbler for our team."
