After a week without competition, the Bethany College men and women's cross country team headed to their last meet before the KCAC Championships. The Swedes competed in the NAIA Mid-States Classic on Saturday.

"Things went well at Mid-States," said head coach Aaron Davis.

Freshman Janeeka Montgomery had another performance. "Janeeka easily beat her time," Davis said. "In the last two months, she has shaved nearly a minute off her time. She is looking good."

The Swedes continue to train with their eye on the KCAC meet. "If they keep working hard, Janeeka, (junior) Kate Dibbern, and (senior) Jorge Escobar are potential national qualifiers," said Davis.

Bethany will get another week free of competition before gearing up for the KCAC Championships at Friends University on Saturday, November 7.

"The training is working out," Davis said, "so things are looking good."
