Five members of the 2009 Bethany College volleyball team were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes. Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
Earning the honor for the 2009 season are Katy Troutman, senior, Tulsa, Okla.; Carrie DeRoo, junior, Unity, Saskatchewan; Megan Wendell, senior, Blue Springs, Mo.; Josephine Schamp, junior, Arvada, Colo.; and Adrianna Alexis, junior, Brighton, Colo.
