On a six-game winning streak, the Bethany College baseball team looked to add more as they headed to Texas to kick off spring break.

The Swedes began off their trip by facing Austen College Saturday night. Bethany struggled against the Austen College bats, giving up 12 runs. Despite posting six runs of their own, the Swedes fell 12-6.

Bethany then faced York College Sunday afternoon. The Bethany bats got hot, scoring double digits. Despite a threatening York offense, the Swedes came out with a 10-5 victory.

"We overcame adversity," said head coach Jeremy Cantrell. "It was a good win and we are moving forward."

The Swedes are now 7-8 overall. The squad traveled to Oklahoma Baptist University on Monday and Tuesday, March 15-16. Bethany kicks off their conference schedule by hosting a doubleheader against the University of St. Mary on Thursday, March 18 at 3 p.m. The Swedes then travel to USM on Saturday, March 20 for a 12 p.m. doubleheader.
