Bethany added two more runs in the seventh, but it was not enough as they fell 15-4.

The Swedes returned home on Thursday, March 18 to kick off their conference schedule as they hosted the University of St. Mary.

Bethany got back on track in game one against the Spires. The Bethany bats hit their stride as the defense held St. Mary to only two runs. The Swedes went on to win their conference opener 4-2.

Looking to make it two wins in a row, Bethany again held St. Mary to two runs in game two. The Swede bats came through with clutch hits as they defeated the Spires 5-2.

Bethany then traveled to Leavenworth on Friday to round out the series with the Spires.

The squad aimed to continue their streak in stride as they jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. The Sires answered back and tied the game at two before Bethany opened up the game. Holding USM to only four runs, the Bethany bats found their stride as the Swedes won 8-4.

Bethany aimed for the sweep in a close game four, going neck-in-neck with USM. The Swedes had a 4-0 lead in the seventh before the Spires got the tying run on second base. However, the ball rolled Bethany's way as they swept the Spires with a 4-3 victory.

The Swedes are now 4-0 in the KCAC, and 11-10 overall. Despite getting out to a slow start, losing their first seven games of the season, the Swedes have won 11 of their last 14 games. They headed to Emporia State University on Tuesday, March 23. Bethany next hosts a doubleheader with Tabor College on Friday, March 26 at 5 p.m. before rounding out the series with the Blue Jays at Tabor on Saturday, March 27 at 1 p.m.
