Taci Richard, Wichita, Kan., has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Bethany College for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Taci is a middle hitter from Circle High School. There she was named to the all-academic first team and earned honorable mention honors. Her senior season, Taci had 136 kills, 32 blocks and 117 service aces.
She also competed in basketball and softball, was involved in the National Honor Society and SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions).
Bethany Head Coach Nathalea Stephenson said that "we are very happy to have Taci as a Swede next year. Taci brings a love for the game of volleyball and a desire to continue to improve her skills everytime she steps on the court. We look forward to helping Taci continue to grow in her skills and knowledge of the game of volleyball and see the great contributions she will make to our program. Taci has a strong arm swing that will help us in many areas."
Taci is the daughter of Steve Richard and Kathy Koenigsman. She has a 4.0 high school GPA and plans to study pre-physical therapy at Bethany.
