Kayla Charlton, Keller, Texas, has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Bethany College for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Kayla is a hitter from Keller High School. There she was a team captain, was named best hitter and had the most blocks. She was also a two-time MVP.
According to coach Nathalea Stephenson, "Kayla brings a lot of athletism to our program next year. She sees the floor very well and with her height will help us in the blocking area which she does a tremendous job at. She comes from a successful program and we are excited to have Kayla in our program for the next four years. We are excited to watch her grow in her volleyball skills and to see what great things she will bring to the court."
Kayla is the daughter of Tim and Barb Charlton. She has a 3.5 high school GPA and plans to major in psychology, having interests in child development, or environmental psychology.
