Freshman Ashley Nicolich, Modesto, Calif., has been named KCAC Player of the Week for her efforts during week six.
During the week the Swedes went 6-0 with double-header wins over Kansas Wesleyan, Central Christian and University of Saint Mary.
In the four games she played in, Nicolich was eight for 14 with a .571 avg. She had six runs, 10 RBI's and was one for one on stolen bases. Nicolich also had three doubles and two home runs on the week.

(1.) at Kansas Wesleyan University, W-12-9, 4-AB, 2-Hits, 0-Run, 1-2B, 0-3B, 0-HR, 2-RBIs, 0-BB.
(2.) vs. non-conference Central Christian College of Kansas, W-4-1, 3-AB, 1-Hit.
(3.) at University of Saint Mary (KS), W-13-1, 3-AB, 2-Hits, 3-Runs, 1-2B, 0-3B, 1-HR, 4-RBIs.
(4.) at University of Saint Mary (KS), W-13-1, 4-AB, 3-Hits, 3-Runs, 1-2B, 0-3B, 1-HR, 4-RBIs, 1/1-SB/SBA.
The softball Swedes are 19-12 overall and 10-2 in conference play. Currently on an eight-game win streak, the Swedes play their final regular-season home game tonight vs. Ottawa with a double-header starting at 5 p.m.
