Freshman Shane Huggins, Calliaqua, Saint Vincent, earned KCAC Player of the Week honors for his efforts during week seven.
During the week at No. 1 singles he won all matches, remaining undefeated. In doubles his team won two matches and lost one match.
In singles he won at home against Bethel College 6-2, 6-0. At McPherson College he won 7-5 (defeating previously undefeated Vyacheslav Bukatin) 6-3; and at Nebraska Wesleyan he won 6-0, 6-4.
In doubles his team won at Nebraska Wesleyan 8-3, lost at McPherson 8-6, and won at home against Bethel 8-2.
The Swedes head to the KCAC individual tournament April 30, with the team tournament starting May 8 in Wichita, Kan.
