After defeating Kansas Wesleyan 13-6, the Swedes forced a second KCAC Championship game Sunday night at Rathert Stadium in Junction City. The Swedes put up a fight, but fell to the Coyotes 5-3 in the final game.

Coming into the tournament as the fifth seed, not many anticipated the Swedes would find themselves in the championship game facing the reining KCAC Champions. But the team donned their ralley hats throughout the tournament, battling their way to the final game.

The team rallied from a 12-5 defecit in the eighth inning vs. Sterling, defeating the Warriors 13-12 Wednesday. They then went on to beat top-seeded Ottawa University 6-4 on day two.

On Friday the Swedes suffered their first loss of the tournament to Kansas Wesleyan, making it the fifth loss to the Coyotes this season. Friday night the Swedes again rallied and defeated Ottawa a second time, 9-7, knocking the Braves out of the tournament. The Swedes had trailed the Braves 5-0 going into the seventh inning.

Sunday the Swedes again faced the undefeated Coyotes in the championship game. With the tournament being double-elimination, the Swedes would have to take the Coyotes down twice to earn the conference title.

The Swedes downed the 'Yotes 13-6, forcing game two. But despite outhitting Kansas Wesleyan 14-8, the Swedes couldn't get the runs on the board. After an amazing tournament run, Bethany fell 5-3 to KWU in the final game.
