Bergsten attended Inman High School where she was the cheer and dance captain and Hutchinson Community College, where she was the dance captain. Bergsten graduated from Bethany College in 2011 with a degree in history and political science. She was also the cheer team captain at Bethany. In 2010, Bergsten was a part of the COA National Champion Cheer and Dance Teams and in 2011 the KCAC Championship Cheer Team.
