Nathalea Stephenson is head volleyball coach at Bethany College.

Stephenson previously coached at Bethany in 1997, and has a long history of involvement with schools in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC).

From 2001 to 2008, she served as head volleyball coach and assistant athletic director at McPherson College, where she was an instructor in the math and physical education departments. While at McPherson, she coached three Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes and 14 KCAC Scholar Athletes. Two of her teams received the American Volleyball Coaches Association Academic Award for team grade point average.

She also has worked as an assistant coach at Kansas Wesleyan University.

At the high school level, Stephenson has been head volleyball coach at Great Bend High School, Ell-Saline High School and Quivira Heights High School.

Stephenson has helped start three different club teams and organizations, in Great Bend, Salina and McPherson, Kan. She has coached in the Kansas Volleyball Coaches Association all-star matches.

Professionally, Stephenson has been involved with the Kansas Volleyball Coaches Association, including serving as the secretary/treasurer, vice president and president.

Stephenson holds a B.S. in math education from Kansas State University and a master's in physical education from Emporia State University. She has taught math at both the high school and college level.
