Aaron Davis - Head Coach

Aaron Davis is the Head Cross Country and Track and Field coach at Bethany College.

Davis previously coached at Fort Hays State University. From 2006 to 2007, he was the assistant sprint coach. Prior to that, he was the assistant cross country and middle distance coach for FHSU from 2005-2006.

Davis graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2007 with a B.S. in health and human performance and is currently working on his M.S. in Exercise Science from Emporia State University.
 
He was a member of the Adams State National Championship cross country team, as well as a 14 time All-Conference (RMAC) athlete in cross country/track. Davis was also a  4 time All-American (NCAA DII) for the 800m and distance medley relay.

Davis is level I and II USATF Certified Coach.


Jay Myers - Assistant Coach
Jay Myers is the Assistant Cross Country and Track and Field Coach at Bethany College.
 
Myers comes to us after retiring in July, '08 after 32 years teaching in Kansas public high schools, the last 25 at Smoky Valley in Lindsborg, Ks.
 
Myers has 20 years of experience coaching track & field. In eight years as head coach at SVHS, the teams won six league championships, one girls' state championship, and one boys' state runnerup.
 
As an assistant or head coach, Myers has coached athletes to school records 34 times, along with 43 state medalists and 15 state champions.
 
Myers has served as a clinician several times including the KSHSAA coaching school.
