Jim Campion - Head Coach - 3rd Season
The Bethany College women's basketball program is led by Jim Campion. A
veteran coach, Campion comes to Bethany with more than 30 years coaching
experience.
Most recently, Campion served as athletic director
of Salina Central High School. He has coached both boys and girls
basketball at Salina Central before retiring at the end of the 2006-2007 school year.
Campion also served as girls' basketball coach at Southeast of Saline for 16 seasons, then coached for seven seasons at Salina Central. He led the girls' team for four years and led the boys' team for three years.
In addition, Campion coached football and track at both Southeast of Saline and Sacred Heart High School in Salina, where he began his head coaching career.
In addition to his college
coaching experience, Campion has had a long successful career as a
teacher. He has taught for more than 30 years as a physical education
and science instructor.
Campion holds a bachelor's degree in
physical education and health from Bethany College and a master's degree
in educational administration from Kansas State University.
