Special Recognition or Honors at Bethany: KCAC Academic All-Conference
High School Activities and Honors: Hlavaty was an All-State Linebacker in 2011. He was also an All Central Prairie League First Team Linebacker, Running Back, Punter, and Kicker in 2011. In 2011 Hlavaty’s team finished Runner Up at State. In the summer of 2011, Hlavaty participated in two all-star games, the Beloit 8-man All Star Game and the Kansas-Nebraska Game. Hlavaty also competed in basketball in which he was an All-State Honorable Mention two times, in the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 seasons. He was an All Central Prairie League First team in the 2010-2011 season. He also competed in multiple all-star games, the SCK All Star Game and the KU Barnstorming in Hays and Great Bend. Hlavaty was a two time state qualifier for track as well. Qualifying in the 4x100m Relay in 2009 and placed 5th place in 2011.
Personal Information: Hlavaty is majoring in athletic training at Bethany. His parents are Mark and Kay Hlavaty, and they reside in Olmitz, KS. Hlavaty is the youngest of 5 kids, two older brothers and two older sisters. Hlavaty’s parents come to every game along with some of his siblings. Hlavaty’s dad is a farmer and his mom works in a factory in Hoisington, KS. Hlavaty and his family are excited about the opportunities that Bethany has offered them.
