Tamara Howe
Tamara Howe - Head Coach
Tamara is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Promotion. After completing an internship at the White House Athletic Center in Washington D.C. in the spring of 2005, Tamara was certified as a group exercise instructor and personal trainer through AFAA. Tamara also served as Miss Wyoming 2003 in the Miss America Organization promoting arts in education.

Tamara has studied with Tony Coppola, Bill Evans, Gary Abbott, Gus Giordano, Jay Franke, Peter Pucci, General McArthur Hambrick, Marsha Fay Knight, Margaret Stalder, and the American Repertory Dance Company. Tamara has received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, is an alumni member of Mortar Board, and a member of IADMS.
 
Tamara has performed in numerous productions including the Nutcracker, Inanna, Carmina Burana, Vertical dance productions, and also traveled to the Kennedy Center with the University of Wyoming to perform Velorio choreographed by Bill Evans. Tamara continues to choreograph and teach dance throughout Wyoming and Kansas. Her choreography has won outstanding choreography awards and many top placements at competitions.

Tamara has received Safety and Liability Certification through NDA/NCA and she runs all technique classes and practices and completes the choreography for the team. Tamara also coordinates all events, performances, appearances, and recruiting. Tamara looks forward to creating an environment where even the most experienced dancers are continually challenged to improve and refine their dance technique and skills.
 
Philosophy Statement

As a dancer, a teacher, and a life-long student, I am committed to helping students increase their skills as dancers, helping them to motivate community involvement in and through dance, and helping to provide students with tools for success. I will to increase my skills as a dancer to enrich the lives of others. I will provide a trustworthy and reliable environment that is effective, successful and healthy for students to live and learn through.
