Adrian Dinkel - Associate Head Coach
Adrian Dinkel enters his third season with the Swedes. He will serve as Associate Head Coach/Pitching Coach, and will be in charge of recruiting. The Swedes have had the top pitching staff in the KCAC while Coach Dinkel has been at the helm of the Bethany pitching staff. Because the Swedes pitching staff has lead the country in the least hits allowed per game and been in the top 5 in least walks allowed, the Swedes pitching staff is considered among the elite pitching staffs in NAIA.
Since joining the coaching staff the Swedes have won 128 games and compiling a .744 winning percentage. Along with that they have won two titles in the past three seasons. In Coach Dinkel's past two seasons with the Swedes he has coached many KCAC all-conference performers, four NAIA All-Americans, and numerous All-Region players. Coach Dinkel has also had stints with three American Legion programs in the state of Utah. He also works with The Rocky Mountain School of Baseball that involves doing camps to many western states. In Coach Dinkel's time coaching he has also help send 12 guys to the professional ranks at many different levels. Coach Dinkel's playing career began at Cyprus High School in Magna, UT where he was considered one of the top players in the state. He earned a scholarship where he spent two years in junior college before moving on to Bethany College. It was here that he helped lead the Swedes to the KCAC championship as well as the programs highest national ranking, becoming an All-Conference performer prior to taking over Swedes pitching duties.
Coach Dinkel has graduated with a degree in health and physical education K-12 from Bethany College.
"Coach Dinkel is one of the top young coaches around and has a tremendous future in front of him." said Coach Tramel. "His pitching knowledge has assisted our pitchers into getting the most out of their abilities and in turn, meaning more wins."
Coach Dinkel is 26 and is from Magna ,Utah .
