Coach Jeremy Scheufler joined the Swede football team as offensive coordinator in 2009. Scheufler previously assisted the Swedes with defensive backs and recruiting efforts from 2004 to 2006.

Prior to Bethany, Scheufler served as assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Wichita South High School, where he had 11 offensive players earn season honors and 18 players accept scholarships to play football in college. In addition, Scheufler coordinated the top passing offense in 2007 at the Greater Wichita Athletic League and coached the top passing quarterback and the top receiver in the GWAL. Scheufler also served at Sterling High School as an assistant coach, passing game coordinator, and quarterback and defensive back coach, where 9 players earned all-league honors. He served as head coach for the junior varsity team, which finished 6-1 and averaged 35 points per game.

Scheufler holds a bachelor's degree in secondary social science education from Bethany College and a master's degree in educational leadership from Mid America Nazarene University. While Scheufler was a student-athlete on Bethany's football team, the Swedes went 26-11, placed second in conference in 2000 and 2002, and won the KCAC championship in 2001. The team also ranked first in passing yards in the KCAC and NAIA in 2001.

Scheufler attended Ellinwood High School were he holds the record for career receptions (89). He was a two-time all-league selection and earned all-state honors his senior year.

Scheufler is married to wife, Amanda, and they have one daughter, Harper.
