Marcelo Alecio has been named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Senior Player of the Year and Tony Swaintek has been named the ITA Regional Assistant Coach of the Year.

The Bethany College men's tennis season ended yesterday in the round of 16 at the National Tournament in Mobile, Ala., with a 5-2 loss to #12 Aquinas College (Mich.). The Swedes received a first-round bye for the first time ever at the NAIA Tournament.

Mackenzi Choitz, a sophomore from Ellsworth, Kan., and Alex Sandri, a senior from Curitiba, Brazil, have received the 2013 IMA Corp., All-KCAC Champions of Character Award for tennis.

The Bethany College men's tennis team competed at the KCAC Tournament at Riverside Tennis Complex in Wichita, Kan., on May 3. They ended their postseason by defeating Tabor 6-0 then McPherson 5-0 to win their tenth straight postseason title sending them on to the NAIA National Tournament as the fifth seed in the country.
