Bethany College Head Volleyball Coach TeAna Crutcher-Tramel has announced her resignation.
 
Tramel has accepted a position as assistant volleyball coach at Washington State University in Pullman, Wash. Tramel was a graduate assistant under newly-named WSU head volleyball coach Andrew Palileo while he coached at South Dakota State. Washington State is a member of the NCAA Division I Pac-10 Conference.

Going into regionals, the Swedes had nothing to lose; they were the #7 seed, going against the #2 seed, College of Saint Mary. The Swedes headed to Bellevue, Neb. on Wednesday night to open up the regionals on Thursday night. The Swedes fought hard against the CSM Flames, but lost the match 2-3.

After finishing second in conference, the Swedes were given a first round bye in the conference tournament for all of their hard work. Even though they were to play one less game than the lower seeds, the Swedes had three tough days at practice to get ready for Bethel. Ultimately the Swedes dropped the KCAC Tournament Championship to rival KWU, 3-0.

Feeling the pressure of Kansas Wesleyan continuing their winning streak, the Swedes knew that if they wanted a chance to be the top contender for the top spot in the KCAC, they were going to have to put up a hard battle, as well as rely on other teams to beat Kansas Wesleyan.

After two conference wins the previous week, this past week the Swedes went 1-2 in conference, and dropped to the number two team overall in the KCAC. The Swedes lost against Kansas Wesleyan, and Bethel, before ending the week with a win against Ottawa.
