The Swede golf team finished 20th as a team after round two of the NAIA National Championships. After the completion of 54 holes Thursday, the field of 151 golfers will be cut to the top 17 teams and 40 individuals.
 
Senior Kevin Walters, Gilbert, Ariz., tops the Bethany team tied for 51st. He shot 76 in round one at the par-71 course and 79 in round two.

The practice round of the NAIA Men's Golf National Championships begin today at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. Round one begins Tuesday, May 19. The tournament wraps up on Friday, May 22.

The Bethany men's golf team was recently crowned the 2008-2009 KCAC Champions after winning the conference tournament in Garden City. Five members of the squad earned all-conference honors.
 
Senior Kevin Walters, Gilbert, Ariz.; senior Jono Painter, Sydney, Australia; junior Ian Ford, Sioux Lookout, Canada; sophomore Brock Bullard, Blytheville, Ark.; and freshman Jack Hiscock, Swindon, England, were named to the KCAC all-conference team.
