MARION, Ind.-- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is proud to announce the 2010 NAIA Outdoor Track Field All-America Team.

All-America honors are awarded to the top six individuals in each event and all four runners in the top six relay teams. These awards were given out at theNAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Indiana Wesleyan University Outdoor Track Complex.

Josie Schamp, a senior from Arvada, Colo. recently was named a 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Track and Field Scholar Athlete.
 
A total of 548 student-athletes were recognized by the NAIA for their work in the classroom. Student-athletes are nominated by their head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.

The Bethany College track and field team competed at the Bethel Invite on Saturday, April 24.

The Swede women finished third at the meet with 35 team points.

After a season-long preparation, the Bethany College indoor track and field team headed to the NAIA Indoor Nationals in Johnson City, Tenn. March 4-6.

Day 1 of nationals kicked off with Jesse Muntz working his way into eight place after day 1 of the Heptathlon.  Muntz set personal bests in the Shot put (13.12m) and High Jump (1.93m) to crawl his way out of 14th place early in the competition.  The Heptathlon will conclude today with the 60m Hurdles, Pole Vault and 1000m run.
