Leavenworth, Kan. - The Bethany Men's Basketball team traveled to The University of Saint Mary. The Swedes started off stronger than they started and came back from behind to secure their third conference win 78-68.

The Swedes started off behind with the Spires scoring seven points right off the bat. Bethany picked up the pace and started to compete. After a jump shot made by Solomon Clayton the Swedes tied the game up at ten points. Both teams continued to go back and forth until the Swedes tied the game up again at nineteen points. From here Saint Mary gained the momentum and gained a six point lead on the Swedes. The first half ended with the Swedes down 32-40.

The Spires kept up a ten point lead for the first five minutes of the half, the Swedes started to chip away at the score. That ten point lead became a five point lead that ended when the Swedes tied up the game at fifty points. Kobe Samake Krajnc tied the game up with a dunk with 12:39 left on the clock. The Swedes were not able to break the tie however and after a full time out by Saint Mary the lead was regained by the Spires 50-57. This did not discourage the Swedes as they kept battling. With a pair of free throws made by Donovan Newton the Swedes tied the game up once again 60-60. The Swedes were able to take the lead with free throws made from Josh Smith and Solomon Clayton 66-63. With a few more free throws and layups, the Swedes secured the comeback win 78-68.
