GORDON QUALIFIES; SWEDES COMPETE IN KCAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Hillsboro, Kan. - The regular season wrapped up for the Bethany College Track and Field Teams at the KCAC championships.
"What a run the Swedes had on Thursday and Friday! This was certainly our best meet of the year that we are very excited about. This builds a lot of momentum going into next year. We still have two more meets left. We will do the last chance meets next week then the NAIA national championships in Marion, Indiana," said Head Coach Aaron Yoder.
Overall, the Swedes walked ran away with 29 personal best, 13 All-KCAC Honorable Mention performances, 8 event finalists, 4 1st Team All KCAC performances, 2 school records and 1 national qualifying mark. This was Bethany's top team showing of the year.
Capping off the day was the women's 4x400m relay team getting all conference and carving off 22 seconds for their seasons' best and the men coming a close 2nd place in the 4x400m relay narrowly missing the win and good for a 2 second seasons' best. Also, Cameron Gordon set the school record in the 100m by running 10.59 good for a national qualifying mark and a lifetime best.
