BETHANY SWEDES LOSE TO OKWU IN FOUR SETS
LINDSBORG, KAN. - The Bethany College Swedes hosted the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles in a conference match up. The Swedes competed against the Eagles who are undefeated in conference. The Swedes took the first set but ended up losing in four.
The Swedes came out amped up for the first set and beat OKWU 25-16 by getting ahead quickly with a 4-point streak and kept adding on as the set went on. The Eagles then responded in the second set by capitalizing on a couple errors that the Swedes had. The second set ended in a score of 17-25. The Eagles started the third set with back to back to back 3-point streaks making the score 2-10. After a Bethany timeout the Swedes started chipping away but were unable to overcome the 8-point deficit, dropping the third set 17-25. The fourth started out with OKWU in the lead but the Swedes made a comeback, making the score 10-11. The Swedes hung with the Eagles until OKWU had a 5-point streak that Bethany was unable to overcome, dropping the last set 18-25.
Zola Moore had 9.5 points with 7 kills out of 25 attempts along with 0 errors, making a .280 kill percentage. Alyssa George scored 9.0 points with 7 kills out 22 attempts along with 2 errors, making a .227 kill percentage. Justice Brackney scored 10.0 points with 7 kills and 4 block assists.

The Swedes will be back in action this Saturday, October 22nd at home against the Avila Eagles. The match is set to start at 7:00PM in Hahn Gymnasium.
