SWEDES UPENDED BY BRAVES

Lindsborg, Kan. - The Bethany Volleyball team hosted the Ottawa University Braves in a conference matchup. The Swedes competed each set but were unable to stay on top of the Braves. 

 

The Braves and the Swedes were both competing in the first set, but the Braves found a way to get on top. The Swedes were unable to come back and dropped the set 20-25. The Swedes are historically stronger in the second set. However, this time against the Braves the Swedes were unable to get ahold of the momentum and dropped the set 18-25. The third set rolled around and the Swedes battled till the end and had the closest set of the night, but it was not enough for the Swedes to win the set. The third set ended in a score of 22-25 with the Braves securing the match. 

 

Atlantis Jamerson scored 10.5 points by making 10 kills and having one assisted block. Justice Brackney had the highest kill percentage of .250 by making 5 kills out of 12 attempts and only making 2 errors. Brackney had two assisted blocks and a solo block, scoring 7 points on the night. Cameron Boyd had 22 digs along with an ace.

The Swedes will be back in action this Wednesday, November 2nd against Kansas Wesleyan University. The match is set to start at 7:00 PM in Mabee Arena.
